As Chief Operating Officer I have been given the duty of informing the owners...
TC and I talked it over, and we both agreed that we need to make the league have 8 teams. If we had 8 teams, we could have 2 interleague weeks. If we had 10, the schedule would be messed up, and inconsistent. It would also be 10 games less TC would have to sim. And it would be a lot easier for the league since this is only the first season.
So is anyone willing to step down in the Pacific? We just dropped the open spot in the Atlantic since no one officially claimed it.
If no one would step down, we'd have to take the team away, and that would just cause arguments. If you get dropped, then you will be the #1 option in being a replacement owner.

I would like to add that if you drop out, first of all I would have a ton of respect for you (if getting respect from TC means anything) but also, it's not like you would be leaving the league and kicked off the blog, and you could help out with things if you'd like.
ReplyDeleteso does that make me replacement #2? hope the season goes great though
ReplyDeleteKevin is #2
ReplyDeleteoh. so now is there 8 games or still 10?
ReplyDeleteWhy not just keep the two leagues and have no interleague, then it's an 8 game season instead of a 10 game season. Same amount of games.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if you decide you are going to 8 games instead of my proposal, I'll drop out and I would not want to be considered as a replacement owner because I just think this is wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh, and also droozer and Kevin both CLAIMED it, you just didn't accept them
ReplyDeleteWell, here's the deal. When Mike and I first started discussing the league, the original plan was to have 8 teams and an 11 game season. But we decided 10 teams would be more fair to those who own an MLF team. We announced the ten team league without realizing that it messed up our scheduling horribly, and now we are going back to the 8 team, 11 game season. How it will go is that you will play each team in your league three times, totaling nine games, and two interleague games, plus the all-star game. This equals the original 12 week regular season we had planned. Sorry for all the confusion. And sizemore, I'd hate to see you go, but if you're really doing this it seems to me like you are just trying to prove a point, and you'll still be #1 for a replacement owner. So you're saying it's not fair for us to give a team to the guy who gave up his team, but it would be fair to give it to someone who never was granted a team? Makes no sense. And by no one claimed the last team, Mykl meant approved for the last team.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm saying is I'd rather have say only an 8 game season with 10 teams but if this is the way you guys want it then I guess I'm glad to go. It also lets you sim less games but whatever. I'm out, I don't want to be considered as a replacement owner at this time, no matter how much I love baseball.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how does 10 teams and 10 games mess up the schedule, it's how the MLF does it
ReplyDeleteComparing this to the MLF is horrible because IMO the MLF schedule is terrible. It's not about simming less games because I will still be doing the same if not more games. It's about the scheduling and the only way we ever wanted the season to be played. I guess if you're going to pull this crap and leave, goodbye. You're still the #1 replacement owner and can help out if you like.
ReplyDeleteIMO when you made the decision to go to 10 teams, you should have stuck with it and made the changes you needed to make to everything. Also I don't get why the schedule's such a big deal but whatever.
ReplyDeleteI'll leave there's just too much I'm in right now so thanks for the opprotunity
ReplyDeleteAlright, well in that case I guess I will remain an owner since now there's no reason to leave lol
ReplyDeletealright that's cool NEP, I guess el paso is gone and Hawaii is back in. Welcome back sizey!
ReplyDeleteNo, you are not allowed to call me sizey again :P
ReplyDeleteyou don't tell me what to do your ass is out of here!
ReplyDeleteHey! Look! I'm intruding again!
ReplyDeleteWhat about three divisions (four-three-three), ten games?
Hell, you can probably just take the old World League of American Football schedule and just substitute your teams on top of theirs?
